How to Change Safari Background

Hi there, Tracy here! Looking for a refreshing change in your Safari browser? You can personalize your browsing experience by changing the Safari background in just a few steps. This is an easy and quick guide to help you through the process.

Steps to Change Safari Background

Please note that Safari doesn’t provide an in-built option for changing the background. We will use a Safari extension called Dark Reader. Dark Reader allows you to customize website displays, from light or dark themes to custom CSS. Follow these instructions to finalize the change:

Step 1: Download and Install Dark Reader

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Go to the Safari Extensions page.
  3. Find Dark Reader, download, and install it.

Step 2: Change Settings

  1. Once installed, click the Dark Reader icon on your Safari toolbar.
  2. Click the ‘Settings’ button.
  3. Scroll down to the ‘CSS’ section.
  4. In the ‘CSS’, enter the URL of the image you want to use as a background.

And there you have it! These steps will change your Safari background and give a fresh, customized look to your browsing experience.
Remember, the CSS part might require a little bit of coding experience. However, don’t be discouraged! With trial and error, you’ll grow comfortable with it.
